The story behind the book

I was experiencing many challenges in my life to include trying to be a good employee, starting a business, landlord responsibilities, be a loving mate and remain calm in a contentious co-parenting situation between my mate and his daughter’s mother. Sometimes, I felt like I was in the middle of a firing squad between the two of them. The pressure was too great and the many roles I was juggling began to crash. My physical health was suffering even though I was eating an all vegan and mostly raw diet. I discovered the cause was stress. This led me to do extensive research on the stress response and the consequences of chronic stress on every system of your body and every area of your life. I began to create some simple and natural strategies that released the tension and helped me reclaim the real me. I wrote the book to share and empower other women who may be experiencing some of the same things I was.

Alice Walker. Her ability to write in such a way that teleports you to the time and place of the book is amazing. Once I read, “The Temple of My Familiar”, I was hooked.

If you have a message in your belly, PUSH! You must deliver that baby! People are waiting to receive the message that only YOU can give. Remove a self-sabotaging mindset and silence self-doubting chatter. You can and WILL DO this. Writing a book is not as hard as you think. Just write from your heart, spirit, experience, and expertise and take direction from the wisdom of Purposely Created Publishing.

I’m working on a companion workbook/journal, “Conquering the Chaos Stress Release Journal” to complement my book. The next project is a Self-Care Kit to give busy and burned out professionals tools for stress-free living. Self-care to stress-less.
